For an additional $199 per QDRO, we can handle the entire pre-approval step of the filing process. This optional service includes mailing the QDRO to the Plan Administrator for a pre-approval review, receiving their response, and addressing any issues observed by the plan. This would involve seamlessly addressing all necessary revisions, and subsequently mailing the revised QDRO for the Plan Administrator's review.

Our Pre-Approval Add-On Service excludes the next steps of the filing process after Pre-Approval Review, including: obtaining signatures from your ex, either parties' attorneys, and the judge, as well as ordering the certified copy of the signed and filed QDRO from the court to mail this to the Plan Administrator.

Not every plan offers pre-approval, such as federal plans, military plans, IRAs, and some other plans. However, if a pre-approval review is offered by the plan, it's usually to your benefit to take advantage of this service. That way you'll know that your QDRO will be accepted by the plan before going through the effort of obtaining all the necessary signatures on your QDRO, which ultimately will reduce overall processing time for your QDRO.
